Live Big Girl

Revised play set to debut in late 2023!

Live Big Girl touches on society’s unrealistic expectations relating to everything from fashion, religion, relationships, culture, food, and sexuality. A passionate yet comedic approach to telling the stories of our childhood and the process of understanding one’s true self while weaving through the stories of our lives, leaving listeners with the message to love, and live big at any size. Live Big Girl is a poetic play written, produced, and performed as a work in progress by Rebeca Lois Lucret, Vanessa Chica Ferreira, Karina G-Lopez, and Directed by Peggy Robles-Alvarado. Debuted at ‘The National Black Theater” in 2017. In 2018 at BAAD! ASS Women’s Festival at Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance and at Ladyfest At The Tank Theater. All 3 shows were successfully sold-out demonstrating the continued need for this work. Our target audience is primarily BIPOC women (self-identifying) who live in a larger body, however, the overall message is for the acceptance of all bodies through a glimpse of what it is to navigate the world in a larger body including discrimination and objectification.

Currently, we are revising the play and it will reemerge

Late 2023! Live Big!
